SOLDTHE NEWS YOU’VE BEEN WAITING FOR!!

The deal to sell First Avenue and  purchase the Port Providence Road property in Mont Clare has been negotiated and signed!

Our beloved building has been purchased by a couple anxious to renovate it for residential use. Since Port Providence was still on the market, we made an offer that was accepted.

Each party has agreed to a late June settlement, so all of our current season’s remaining shows will be produced right here on First Avenue.  Assuming all goes according to plan, we will begin our 52nd season a mile down the road in Mont Clare in our sparkling new theater space!

More details to follow, but get ready.  You can be sure that we’ll be looking for plenty of volunteers this summer!

Music Director:  Denise Wisneski

Choreographer:  Megan Kelsh

Assistant Director:  Melanie Magolan

Audition dates:  March 3 at 2:00 pm and March 5 at 7:30 pm

 PRODUCTION DATES:  June 7, 8, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29, 2013

THE DROWSY CHAPERONE pays tribute to the Jazz Age shows of the 1920′s and the power those shows held to transport us into a dazzling fantasy and to lift our spirits in times of sadness.

The show includes four romantic couples, a best man, a pair of gangsters, a deus ex machina in the form of an aviatrix, and the host/narrator, which is not a singing role. Yes, if you are a male who has always wanted to be in a musical, despite the lack of singing ability, this is the show for you.

What follows is a casting list with vocal ranges.  Age ranges are approximate stage ages and are by no means absolute.
