A literary love affair between an American writer and an Englishman who works for a London book shop. spanning 20 years from 1949-1969. Though events in the play are set against a canvas of the dramatic post-war changes taking place during that time, the true story is of two people, separated by an ocean, who come to value and eagerly anticipate each others letters, and who long to meet.
