Welcome to Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire.  Join our actors and crew as they explore the world of Thornton Wilder’s masterwork of the American theatre. This innovative production spins a blazingly intense and sharply satiric story of two small-town families, all the while reminding us that the past is a dream that glows with the evening warmth of memory in a present viewed in the cold light of day.

September 9th and 10th: Auditions for OUR TOWN

Auditions for OUR TOWN

September 9 and 10 at 7:00 pm; callbacks, if necessary, September 12 at 7:00 pm.

Production dates: January 11, 12, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, 2013

Director Deb Braak is looking for an ensemble of approximately 10-12 actors to play multiple roles in Forge’s January production of Thornton Wilder’s classic American play, OUR TOWN.

In addition to potential Georges, Emilys, and Stage Managers, this innovative production needs a number of character actors.  ALL actors will play multiple roles.  Skilled actors who sing and/or play guitar, piano or other instruments are encouraged to audition, as are actors with experience in improv.  Young actors (age 8 and up) will also be considered for some parts.  NOTE:  We are considering both men and women for the role of the Stage Manager. Auditions will consist primarily of readings from the script. Please be familiar with the play when you come to audition.  If you would like to audition for the role of the Stage Manager, please be prepared with a 1-2 minute story-telling monologue of your choice; you may select something from the play. Questions?  Please contact Deb at

Some character information and background on the play are available HERE.
